Zakat - The Obligatory Charity
Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam and is obligatory for every Muslim whose wealth reaches the Nisab (minimum threshold). It purifies wealth and helps people in need.
Your Zakat is distributed as direct cash assistance to eligible recipients in Gambia, Sudan and Gaza. We ensure that your donation reaches those who need it most urgently.
Calculation: 2.5% of wealth held above the Nisab for one year.
Fidya & Kaffara
Fidya
For people who cannot fast due to illness or old age and are unable to make up the missed fasts.
Kaffara (breaking the fast)
For intentionally breaking the fast. This is equivalent to feeding 60 people in need per day.
