First Honey Harvest in Gambia – Orphans Become Beekeepers 💛

First Honey Harvest in Gambia – Orphans Become Beekeepers 💛

What began as an idea just a few months ago has now become a reality:

The five orphans taking part in our beekeeping project in Gambia have harvested their very first honey🍯🐝

This moment is the result of a great deal of hard work, patience and dedication to learning. Over the past few months, the young people have attended training sessions, learned how to care for bee colonies and prepared intensively for their first harvest. Step by step, not only their knowledge grew, but their confidence too.

Especially moving: Throughout the project, the Gambian news channel QTV News covered their progress several times and broadcast reports on television. This attention highlights how much hope and opportunity sustainable help towards self-reliance can create.

The first honey harvest is far more than just a milestone in the project.

It shows that new opportunities can emerge when people are given the chance to build their own lives.

    Hope became responsibility.

And hard work produced their very first honey💛

We are incredibly proud of these young people and look forward to continuing to support them on their journey.

Thank you for making this possible!
