Arrival in Gaza: 1,000 Blankets and 180 Tents for Families Without a Home
Today, aid arrived where it is vital for survival: another 1,000 blankets and 180 tents from World of Peace have reached Gaza – in Khan Younes and Deir al-Balah (northern Gaza). These are areas where countless people are living without adequate shelter.
For many families, this delivery means something they have not experienced in a long time: a dry night, protection from wind and rain, and a basic level of safety. After winter storms, flooding and prolonged cold, countless people are sleeping in damaged or completely destroyed shelters. Children, babies and older people are particularly exposed to the cold.
What makes this delivery especially significant is that a special permit allowed us to import the tents in record time – something that very few organisations are currently able to do. The materials will be used to set up two new tent camps, precisely where the need is greatest.
Together with Global Empowerment Mission, the next crucial step now begins: setting up the tents, distributing aid and supporting families on the ground. The arrival of these relief supplies is not the end – it is the beginning of hard work.
